Volunteering with Temcare
Volunteering with Temcare can be life-changing!
Volunteering can foster a deep sense of connection, purpose, and community. Whether you are hoping to support families, walk alongside children and caregivers, or contribute in a practical way, volunteering with Temcare offers meaningful opportunities to make a difference.
At Temcare, our volunteers play a vital role in building supportive and relational environments for families. Many of our programs are centred on connection, consistency, and care, and volunteers are an essential part of how this support is delivered.
You may be able to get involved through:
- NURTURE: Female Caregiver Support – Walk alongside single mum families with young children by helping create welcoming group environments, supporting gatherings, or assisting with practical resources such as care packages and essential items.
- HOPE: Prisoner’s Family Support – Support children and caregivers impacted by imprisonment through relational and practical involvement. This may include mentoring support such as tutoring, assisting with activities in school-related events, or contributing to practical care such as food support or transport.
- Temcare Family Camp – Be part of a team that creates a safe, fun, and supportive camp experience for families. Volunteers assist with activities, logistics, and creating an environment where families can rest, connect, and build positive memories together.
- General and Seasonal Support – If you are unable to commit to ongoing volunteering, there are still meaningful ways to contribute. This may include assisting at events, supporting camps, or helping with seasonal initiatives such as Christmas hampers and community outreach activities.
Developing and Limited-Availability Programs
Some of our programs are currently in development or temporarily on hold:
- ANCHOR: Male Caregiver Support – This is currently in a development phase, with opportunities to be involved as the program grows.
- MATES Mentoring [ON HOLD] – connecting adult Christian volunteer mentors with young people aged between 10 and 15 years of age.
- RESPITE Care [ON HOLD] – regular respite care provides a much-needed break for families while offering their children a safe and caring environment.
Not sure where to start?
There is no pressure to commit straight away. We understand that volunteering is a meaningful decision, and we value the opportunity to get to know you just as much as you get to know us.
If you are exploring how you might get involved, we would be glad to have a conversation and help you find a role that aligns with your interests, availability, and strengths.
