How We Serve

Temcare Family Camps

Family Camps are a central part of Temcare’s approach to supporting families, offering a unique opportunity to step away from the pressures of daily life and experience rest, connection, and community in a supportive environment.

These camps are intentionally designed to create a safe and welcoming environment where families can build positive memories, strengthen relationships, and feel a sense of belonging. Through shared activities, relaxed conversations, and supportive community, families are given the opportunity to reconnect with one another and with others who may be on a similar journey. It also often becomes a meaningful starting point for deeper engagement with Temcare’s broader range of programs and support services, including ongoing community groups, workshops, and practical assistance initiatives.

For many, attending a camp is more than a one-time event and becomes a meaningful moment of pause — a chance to be encouraged, supported, and reminded that they are not alone.

At their heart, Family Camps are about creating moments of joy, rest, and togetherness, while gently opening the door to longer-term support and a stronger sense of community.

Back-to-School Initiative

The transition into a new school year can bring both excitement and financial pressure for families. Temcare’s Back-to-School program seeks to ease this burden by providing practical support that helps children begin the year with confidence and dignity.

Through the provision of essential school items and resources, families in our registry are supported in preparing their children for learning, participation, and a positive start to the year ahead.

Beyond the practical assistance, this program reflects a deeper commitment to ensuring that every child feels equipped, included, and ready to engage in their education.

Program Workshops

Temcare’s Workshops create opportunities for families and caregivers part of our NURTURE, ANCHOR, and HOPE programs to grow in confidence, knowledge, and resilience within a supportive and relational environment.

These sessions are designed to be practical and accessible, covering areas such as parenting, wellbeing, and life skills. Delivered in a safe and encouraging space, workshops allow participants to learn, ask questions, and connect with others who may share similar experiences.

Workshops are not only about gaining information, but about building confidence and strengthening the capacity of families to navigate everyday challenges.

Foodbank and Seasonal Hampers

Temcare provides practical support to assist families with everyday needs during times of financial or personal strain. This includes the provision of food assistance, essential items, and seasonal hampers, particularly during significant times of the year.

This support is offered with care and dignity, recognising that small, practical help can make a meaningful difference in reducing stress and creating stability for families.

Where possible, this assistance also serves as a point of connection — opening pathways for families to engage with broader support and community.
